Rental menu doesn’t open when interacting with the NPC
Section titled “Rental menu doesn’t open when interacting with the NPC”Make sure ox_lib and oxmysql start before rs_carrental in your server.cfg. Double-check the NPC coordinates in Config.Locations and confirm your target system is working (or that the E-key fallback is triggering).
Vehicle doesn’t spawn after renting
Section titled “Vehicle doesn’t spawn after renting”The model probably doesn’t exist on your server, or the spawnPoint is inside a wall / doesn’t have enough clearance. Try a flat open area first to rule out positioning.
VIP category still locked after purchasing
Section titled “VIP category still locked after purchasing”VIP checks two things at once - the vip_rental_card item in the player’s inventory and a non-expired row in rs_carrental_vip. If either is missing, the category stays locked. Check both.
How overdue fees work
Section titled “How overdue fees work”price × OverdueRatePerHour × overdue_hours (hours rounded up). A $1,000 rental at 1.5x rate with 2.5 hours overdue = $1,000 × 1.5 × 3 = $4,500.
How early return refunds work
Section titled “How early return refunds work”price × remaining_hours × ReturnRefundPercent / 100. Only applies when the rental isn’t overdue.
Multiple active rentals
Section titled “Multiple active rentals”Controlled by Config.MaxRentals. Default is 1. Increase it if you want players to rent more than one vehicle at a time.
Vehicle images
Section titled “Vehicle images”Loaded from Config.VehicleImageSource. Default points to the FiveM docs CDN. Set to 'local' to serve from web/dist/images/{model}.png. You can also override per-vehicle with an image field in the category config.
