FAQ

Common problems and their solutions.

This is usually caused by running qb-core or qbx_core alongside rs_chat. Both frameworks have built-in chat commands that conflict. See the compatibility guide for instructions on how to disable the framework commands.

This error occurs in qbx_core because the framework tries to send the MOTD to the default chat resource, which you may have replaced or renamed. To fix this, go to qbx_core/client/events.lua and change exports.chat:addMessage to exports.rs_chat:addMessage.

Yes! You can adjust the width and height of the chat box in config.lua:

Config.Theme = {
-- ...
}
-- Check below for existing width/height settings if available in your version
-- or modify html/style.css directly if comfortable with CSS.

(If using the default rs_chat, check html/style.css for .chat-window positioning if not exposed in Config).

You can enable โ€œAnonymousโ€ mode for specific commands in config.lua:

Config.ShowPlayerNames = {
Me = false, -- Shows as "Anonymous"
Do = false, -- Shows as "Anonymous"
-- ...
}
  1. Ensure Config.ChatVisibility is set to true for the commands you want to see.
  2. Check your server console (F8) for any errors.
  3. Make sure you have onesync enabled in your server config.
