Installation

1) Add Resource

Place rs_carrental in your resources folder and add to server.cfg:

ensure rs_carrental

2) Dependencies

Section titled “2) Dependencies”

These must start before rs_carrental:

  • ox_lib
  • oxmysql

3) Database

Section titled “3) Database”

Tables are created automatically on first start. If you prefer manual setup, run sql/install.sql.

Two tables are used:

  • rs_carrental - active and past rental records.
  • rs_carrental_vip - VIP membership entries with expiry timestamps.

4) Framework

Section titled “4) Framework”

Auto-detected. Supports QBCore, QBox, and ESX.

To override, set Config.Framework in config/config.lua to 'qbcore', 'qbox', or 'esx'.

5) Target System

Section titled “5) Target System”

Also auto-detected: ox_target → qb-target → qtarget.

If none are found, NPC interaction falls back to a proximity E-key prompt.

6) Verify

Section titled “6) Verify”

Restart, visit the NPC at the configured location, and test a rental.
