If you are interested in adding a specific value to the Plate Scanner

Section titled โ€œIf you are interested in adding a specific value to the Plate Scannerโ€

You can make this change using the cfg.lua and the shared.lua file we provided as open source.

  1. Ensure that the key corresponding to the value you wish to add exists in your database table containing your vehicles.

  2. Add the key of the value you wish to add to cfg.lua from your database table.

    shared/cfg.lua
    vehicleScanDetails = { -- you can add or delete detail
    'owner',
    'model',
    'color',
    'stolen'
    },
  3. If you wish to display the value of the key you added to the shared.lua file in a different manner or display it differently using a specific query, you should use this section.

    shared/shared.lua
    getVehicleDetail = function(type, value, data)
    if type == 'model' then
    local model = framework == 'qb' and data.vehicle or findModelByHash(data.mods.model)
    return cfg.importVehicles[model] or GetLabelText(GetDisplayNameFromVehicleModel(model))
    elseif type == 'color' then
    return rs._t('colors')[data.mods.color1]
    elseif type == 'stolen' then
    return value and value == 1 and rs._t('yes') or rs._t('no')
    else
    return value
    end
    end
  4. Create a translation with the same name as the key for the locales you selected at the bottom of cfg.lua, and if you have specified specific values within shared.lua, create them.

    shared/cfg.lua
    locale = 'en',
    locales = {
    ['en'] = {
    notAllowed = "You're not allowed for this action!",
    codeCouldntFind = "You must be have a code!",
    offDuty = "You're off duty",
    onDuty = "You're on duty",
    newCodeSaved = "Code has been saved.",
    code = 'code',
    enterCode = 'Enter a code',
    attachedUnits = 'Attached Units',
    description = 'Description',
    newWaypoint = 'The incident location has been marked on your map.',
    youAlreadyAttached = 'You already attached to this alert!',
    plateNotFound = "Plate not found!",
    messagedBy = 'Messaged by',
    messagedByOfficer = 'Messaged by Officer',
    needHelp = 'I need help urgently!',
    relevantVehicle = 'Relevant Vehicle',
    all = 'All',
    dispatch = 'Dispatch',
    alerts = 'Alerts',
    activeCalls = 'Active Calls',
    description = 'Description',
    changeCallType = 'Change Call Type',
    changeCallName = 'Change Call Name',
    setDescription = 'Set Description',
    setLocation = 'Set Location',
    assignUnits = 'Assign Units',
    setStatus = 'Set Status',
    available = 'Available',
    units = 'Units',
    activeUnits = 'Active Units',
    group = 'Group',
    setCode = 'Set _code_',
    radio = 'Radio',
    channels = 'Channels',
    units = 'Units',
    assignUnits = 'Assign Units',
    split = 'Split',
    plate = 'Plate',
    scanner = 'Scanner',
    owner = 'Owner',
    model = 'Model',
    color = 'Color',
    createCall = 'Create Call',
    callType = 'Call Type',
    callName = 'Call Name',
    callDescription = 'Description (can be empty)',
    callLocation = 'Location (click)',
    cancel = 'Cancel',
    submit = 'Submit',
    search = 'Search...',
    foot = 'On Foot',
    car = 'Car',
    bike = 'Bike',
    motorcycle = 'Motorcycle',
    helicopter = 'Helicopter',
    createChannel = 'Create Channel',
    frequency = 'Frequency',
    title = 'Title',
    deleteChannel = 'Delete Channel',
    settings = 'Settings',
    bgColor = 'Background Color',
    iconColor = 'Alert Icon Color',
    changeChannelName = 'Change Channel Name',
    addNewDetail = 'Add New Detail',
    stolen = 'Stolen',
    yes = 'Yes',
    no = 'No',
    },
    }
  5. And you have successfully added the new detail you wanted to the Plate Scanner.
